To increase the maximum span in structures, the addition of a carbon profile to traditional structural materials is simple yet highly effective. A composite profile can be added to either concrete, wood or aluminum to provide reinforcement and increase the possible span or reduce deflection. The carbon is lightweight, adding relatively little additional weight to the structure.

Application of carbon lamellae

A carbon profile that can improve the span in a structure, we also produce n the form of a slat. For example, it can be slid into a recess of an aluminum beam, which puts it out of sight and dramatically increases the rigidity of the entire structure.

Applying carbon profiles to improve span can offer benefits in several sectors. Especially in construction, this additive offers a solution for structural components. In bridges and overpasses, therefore, slats are already in use to reinforce structures. In addition, structures in tent and veranda construction can be reinforced with these profiles.
