Profiles for sail and cloth suppport & Marine
The use of composites started early in the naval industry. Rinus Prins started developing composite boats, this was the basis for the further development of fully-fledged pultrusion machines. In 2019, a large number of profiles is still used within the naval industry. Our carbon profiles are processed as spinnaker poles or to reinforce masts on sailing ships. Fiberglass profiles are used in the sails themselves as battens to keep the sails straight.
