At Prince Fibre, we have been producing high-quality fiberglass and carbon fiber profiles for many years for applications where strength, stiffness and reliability are essential.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"398\" data-end=\"475\">Yet pultrusion traditionally had one major limitation: design freedom.<\/p>\n<h2 data-section-id=\"1mjnlia\" data-start=\"477\" data-end=\"521\">The traditional limitations of pultrusion<\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"523\" data-end=\"821\">Conventional pultrusion is ideal for producing straight profiles with a constant cross section. These include bars, tubes, strips, U-profiles and I-profiles. Although these profiles provide excellent structural performance, complex geometries have long been difficult to achieve.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"823\" data-end=\"875\">As a result, applications were limited when it came to:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"877\" data-end=\"1075\">\n<li data-section-id=\"15eymil\" data-start=\"877\" data-end=\"904\">Complex 3D geometries<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"60826e\" data-start=\"905\" data-end=\"941\">Integrated attachment points<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"12xfwc6\" data-start=\"942\" data-end=\"983\">Local thickening or firming<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"18kfbr3\" data-start=\"984\" data-end=\"1025\">Functional links or interfaces<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"1imsinw\" data-start=\"1026\" data-end=\"1075\">Products with multiple integrated functions<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"1077\" data-end=\"1194\">Often additional machining, gluing or assembly steps were required to make a finished product fully functional.<\/p>\n<h2 data-section-id=\"sblpx3\" data-start=\"1196\" data-end=\"1250\">A new generation of functional composite profiles<\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"1252\" data-end=\"1473\">In cooperation with <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">Anybrid GmbH<\/span><\/span> Prince Fibre has developed an innovative method to functionalize pultrusion profiles using advanced hybrid injection molding technology.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1475\" data-end=\"1647\">By combining pultrusion with precise overmoulding techniques, we can now integrate functional plastic parts directly onto our carbon and fiberglass profiles.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1649\" data-end=\"1942\">Pictured is our standard carbon fiber tube with an outer diameter of 32 mm, fitted with a fully customizable injected part. This hybrid production method opens up new possibilities in terms of product integration, assembly and functional design.<\/p>\n<h4 data-start=\"4607\" data-end=\"4771\"><\/h4>\n[\/vc_column_text][vc_custom_heading text=&#8221;What is hybrid injection molding?&#8221; use_theme_fonts=&#8221;yes&#8221;][vc_column_text]\n<p data-start=\"1982\" data-end=\"2166\">Hybrid injection molding, also known as overmolding, is a manufacturing technique in which a thermoplastic plastic part is injected directly onto a composite structure.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2168\" data-end=\"2405\">This technology is already widely used within the automotive industry and the thermoplastic composites market, among others.
