Drones are slowly but surely – figuratively speaking – taking over the world. Many people are already familiar with the lightweight and supersonic drones that are used by the government and defence forces, or the recreational drones that can be used to take beautiful holiday pictures. Prince Fibre is working with a drone developer of a completely different calibre: Drone4, part of the Osse Equipment Manufacturing Group. Drone4 designs and assembles mega drones for logistics, agriculture and emergency services, among others. Prince Fibre has made a valuable contribution to the Drone 4-70, which can transport up to 75 kilograms autonomously.

Drones

of the future

Drone4 is building an innovative future for its mega drones. The impressive drones are being developed under four separate divisions: Drone4Emergency, Drone4Agro, Drone4FireFighting and Drone4Logistics. The prototype of the Drone 4-70 was produced under the latter, among others. Prince Fibre has supplied carbon tubes with outer walls of 50 and 80 millimetres thick for the development of the frame of this drone. Carbon is ideally suited for applications in the drone and aerospace industries because of its light weight and high rigidity. Although the drone itself only weighs 25 kilograms, it can carry a payload of up to 75 kilograms. The prototype of this mega drone was recently certified by the Human Environment and Transport Inspectorate (ILT). This means that the Drone 4-70 can now actually take to the air and be further developed. The first goal is to increase the flying time from about 15 minutes to 20 minutes.

Cooperation

Drone4

Drone4 has been a valued customer of Prince Fibre for 7 years already. We are committed to innovation and development and enjoy contributing to innovations in the market. The cooperation is experienced as very pleasant from both sides. We always strive to be assertive when it comes to advice and service, which is another reason for Drone4 to continue its cooperation. New developments are coming soon for Drone4, in which Prince Fibre hopes to provide them with active support. Prince Fibre is very proud to be able to contribute to the potential and therefore future prospects of mega drones.
